Our Multi-purpose with John Innes has been comprised of a nutrient rich composition based on a traditional recipe of loam, peat and horticultural grit with added nutrients, by including loam it adds increased water retention and nutrients to plants in the compost. Our multi-purpose with John Innes has a pH of 5.5-6.0 and added with a base fertiliser which creates an optimum medium for most plants to grow apart from calcifuges.

John Innes No.1 Compost

Growmoor John Innes No.1 compost is made from the 50 year old recipe of loam, peat and horticultural grit. It has a peat reduced formula but the addition of loam gives the young plants a base suited for young plant root development and to allow for the changing nutritional requirements of a growing plant.

John Innes No.2 Compost

This formula has been developed with potted plants in mind with the balance of loam, peat and grit to produce the ideal conditions for potted plants whether if they are being transplanted or first time potting.

John Innes Ericaceous Compost

Growmoor John Innes Ericaceous compost is a rich mix of loam, peat and horticultural grit with added nutrients providing the perfect structure for plant roots and maximum green leafing. Our Ericaceous mix has a pH level of 4.0 which is perfect for growing calcifuges (lime hating plants) such as rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and blueberries.
